Remember, as a student, checking the clock to see when you would be able to go to recess to finally move? Remember having to sit in the same uncomfortable seat daily? Sitting still for too long made it so difficult to focus in class. Well this makes sense. Kids naturally need to move! With your help, our class will have access to wobbly chairs, balance balls, wobbly cushions, and floor cushions. Your donations will assist in students' ability to focus on their learning and academics. These items will give students different seating options that best fits their needs for thinking. I have come to experience that many children need alternative seating options in order to get their creative thoughts going. Some students do their best while sitting on the floor, some need movement while they are sitting on their chair, others need something with tactile to focus their attention and get their ideas flowing. With these different seating options, my students will be able to successfully produce critical work and feel comfortable in their own classroom.
