Why can't students print their papers? I'll tell you one reason, they don't have printers at home! I teach a class called Senior Seminar at a charter school in a high need urban area to 12th grade students. The students that I teach are filled with excitement about going off to college next year, many of them will be the first person in their family to be able to attend. This course helps them prepare for the challenges they will face as a first year college student. Most of the work we do in this class requires the students to have a printed version of their projects to turn in. By using a USB drive students can work on any computer that is convenient to them, then they can transport the project via the drive and print at school. This also allows the student the opportunity to save and organize their work.
