Kindergarten through second grade teachers recently implemented an Academy program in the mornings to bolster the students' early literacy skill, so teachers work collaboratively to service children across grades levels in differentiated groups. Having tablets as a center would increase student engagement as well as their competency in using technology. During the Academy period, we would like to add a technology-based center that is available for students to not only work on their early literacy skills through such apps and websites as RAZ Kids and Starfall, but also have the option to develop coding skills. They really enjoy using their Code.org accounts!
