My group of students are some of the hardest working kids I have met. They have an uphill climb this year to work on improving our schools community and performance academically. My 2nd grade classroom is located in a high poverty suburban school that serves K-6 students. Last year was my first year teaching and I would like to focus this year on building a reading centers library in order to further expand my students love of reading and writing. Despite the difficulties these kids face in their daily lives they are so excited to learn and deserving of everything good that comes their way.
