Incorporating a station for listening will help my students sit quietly and focus on listening while they read through a book as it keeps their attention. This station will also help the students become visually and auditory engaged learners. This station will also allow individual imagination to foster, with the use of the technological equipment as there is less distraction. Many benefits of a listening center include modeling good interpretive reading skills, highlighting the tone of stories, increasing or introducing vocabulary, providing a read-aloud model, keeping students actively engaged with the story, and so much more! I look forward to bringing forth these benefits to better serve my students!
