As a Science Cluster Teacher elementary through middle school children, there are a multitude of activities taking place period to period in our classroom. My students work as engineering teams in table groups, which consist of groups of 4-6 students at a table. Depending on the day and the activity, children may be working at the moon table, or our numbered tables, or in the back of the room accessing the sink area; sometimes they are even in the hallway if they need more space for projects.
A mobile whiteboard easel, would allow me to take lessons directly to their small groups and personalize the learning. There are many varied learning styles in my classroom but most of these learning styles need to be supported by a visual component. Having access to a portable whiteboard at their table can provide a visual component to their small group work. This assists in student focus as well as provides an added support to their understanding. The whiteboard would make a big impact on our small group lessons.
By donating to our project you would be providing students an opportunity to have direct support, close access to key concepts and a clear visual component, all of which is so vital for student understanding and higher academic achievement.
