I strive to make learning experiences in my classroom as relevant to my students as possible. I attended a Personalized Learning workshop this summer and realized that is exactly the platform I need to make sure my students are getting exactly what they need! Education has to move away from a "one size fits all" mentality, and Personalized Learning is the way to do just that! Students are given a voice in their own learning process and become much more invested and engaged when they realize they have control over their own education. But we need the tools to make this process possible! Having daily access to Chromebooks right in the classroom will open up opportunities for the students that I teach. They can use them for research, individual projects and collaborative work.
