The most important academic skill I can teach my students is reading! I have been working hard to teach my students about the benefits of reading and using reading as a coping tool as well as a tool to gain information. My students are finding the joy in reading and have it as a part of the daily routine. Our school does not have a fully functioning library. I am requesting 15 leveled book sets. This will allow my students to be able to read different books and develop their reading abilities as they go. Reading is a huge part of life and everyone should have the opportunity to experience the pleasure of reading.
