Donating to my project to get my class a new, bigger easel/whiteboard will allow my students to be involved in many types of literature and writing though shared reading and group writing activities. My students need as much exposure to rich and authentic reading and writing experiences. A new easel with a magnetic white board will also allow my students to work in small groups and individually to build upon the skills they learn and explore books in a more social manner! I love to see my students' reactions when they hear a book for the first time, become a part of our writing or read a morning message all on their own. Their success and excitement is what fuels my love for learning and teaching everyday!
