In our classroom community we focus on mindfulness and the power of knowing our brains and bodies. Yoga mats will help our class in providing an individualized space for each student to practice mindfulness and refocus for the day. Yoga has helped my students reflect and prepare themselves for learning. Creating a classroom community where students feel comfortable is a way I demonstrate support for every student. Academic, emotional, and social success for every student is a priority in my classroom. In providing yoga mats for my students I am able to help build on our learning community and prioritize the learning.
