With a color printer and ink readily available to my students, I will be able to print resources needed for them to grow as fluent readers and writers. My students will also be able to learn how to type and have the opportunity to print out their wonderful writings to be published. It is very important that my 2nd grade students are allowed to practice their reading fluency as often as possible. Having a printer in the class will bring so many resources to my students’ hands that they will not otherwise be able to access. It is very important that my students have the chance to have materials and other print resources at their disposal. Currently, over 40 teachers at my school are sharing one printer that rarely works properly. Getting a printer for my students to have exclusive access to will only make their learning experience greater.
