One of the most difficult aspects of chemistry is to understand how different elements come together to make a molecule. Both the components of the molecule and how they fit together as a three dimensional shape are important in helping students understand why the molecules behave in certain ways. These models will be used in the classroom to help students understand how different elements are able to combine with one another to make molecules with different characteristics. The hands on approach to learning improves student participation and enhances their learning. The current resources available for this type of hands on learning are limited at our school. With a goal of preparing students for higher or hire education, providing these experiences is important.
