Children have all sorts of theories about how the world works. What they don’t always have is the ability and tools to help them express these thoughts or the opportunity to be able to reflect upon the world around them. With BuildToExpress, students use LEGO bricks to model their ideas and thoughts; something that can otherwise be rather intangible and difficult to capture. The Lego materials, coupled with the process and activities, enable every student to be heard and communicate as equals. It provides an extremely motivating way to communicate and learn from one another while building writing skills.
