A student with a visual impairment is not allowed to participate in physical education class, so she needs an alternative activity to maintain her physical health. She feels excluded from her peers when they go to gym class and she can't go with them. This stationary bike would allow her to be in the gymnasium when her friends are attending physical education class and she would feel like part of the class. The stationary bike will follow her to the middle and high school as she moves through her years at school to maintain her health and feel included with her friends.
