The learning environment that I would like to establish needs to foster a calm, safe, and nurturing arena for students to excel. In the past, small adjustments such as plants and some variations in lighting has made a huge improvement. With that in mind, I believe that including the fish tank in the classroom will not only help foster these improvements but will give my students a sense of pride in our learning environment and some responsibility in maintaining it. The goal is to create a unique learning environment that the students take care of and are proud of. With these nurturing elements in place, I believe, my students will be able to focus on excelling in their ever challenging academic goals.
