Our students are eager to find creative solutions to real-world problems. As tech students, they have great opportunities for hands-on learning in the trades and health fields. In our science classrooms, we want to provide them with as many real-life problems as we can, so they can develop their problem solving skills. Using the stream tables, the students will be able to test multiple solutions to flooding due to increased flow in rivers. They will be able to set up their landscape, including houses, farmland, and other manmade structures. By increasing flow rates, they can test their solution to prevent flooding.
