My students are in desperate need of new materials to read. While my school has many older texts, I feel that they could achieve higher with new and exciting reading materials. Many of the students that I teach are EC and need different accommodations. I feel that it is imperative that students living in poverty and with exceptional needs be given high interest novels to inspire them to read. With any help, I want to teach kids to become readers and critical thinkers. This donation would help tremendously in the attempt to promote literacy in my school. I know that these books would benefit my class. I believe that all students deserve the chance to become active thinkers and readers in our society.
