My students must have access to technology on a daily basis in order to increase their engagement, differentiate their learning and to help them to better connect with history. Chromebooks will allow my inner-city students to explore the world while sitting in my classroom! The Chromebooks will help them explore, not only today's world, but will allow us to travel back in time to the ancient worlds of Greece, Rome and the Middle Ages. My students have limited resources and opportunities and deserve a chance to learn and be as prepared as possible for their futures. History, in general, and Ancient Civilizations specifically, is very difficult for students to relate to and understand its significance - having access to Chromebooks will help them to explore Ancient Civilizations in an engaging way on a daily basis. Students will be able work at their level and their own pace. These computers will also allow students to express their learning in many different ways. It might be a written report, a powerpoint presentation, or a video created about a subject...the possibilities are endless!!
