This rug will first help our classroom to be an organized and safe place. Children will have a personal space that is theirs while opening up the rest of the room for them to move and explore. Not only will the rug provide a place to sit but it will also encourage reading. The rug has a variety of symbols that can easily be incorporated into the lesson when they are right where the students sit. I plan to use the circle music rug to teach the symbols around the rug as well as help students easily make circles for the numerous variety of activities we do where making a circle is very necessary. With this added resource that both helps our movement and our knowledge, I am truly empowering students through art.
