The learning experiences would be most beneficial if we had a kidney shaped table and chairs to use in our classroom. Working at a rectangular table makes it very difficult to help me meet the individual needs of my special education students. The kidney shaped table would allow me to have better small group instruction and closer proximity to my students. As the teacher, I would sit in the middle of the kidney shape and this would allow me to view what each student is working on during our small group or individual instruction. I would be able to lead each student with differentiated lessons if needed. A kidney shaped table and chairs will allow us to have a designated area to meet for small groups. This specially designed table will allow me to easily monitor students as they complete assignments. In addition, students will be able to turn and talk with a peer when they are directed to work collaboratively. This kidney shaped table and chairs will provide our class a productive space and allow me to meet the individual needs of my special education students.
