Many of my students have severe physical and sensory limitations that make it difficult for them to participate fully in their school environment. Our old swing frame has recently broken and we do not have the resources to replace it, however our students desperately need their swings! Suspended equipment is a critical part of my students' therapy as it provides them with various input to promote their neurological and physical growth and development. Many children are stuck in wheelchairs all day and are deprived of movement in different planes which only a swing can provide. Other students benefit from the core and upper body strengthening that happens when they are placed on suspended equipment. Equally as important is the pure joy that they get out of doing something fun as well as therapeutic. For these students, typical playground equipment is often inaccessible. Your donations will make the joy of swinging available to those that would otherwise never experience it!
