The sensory items will help students with emotional dysregulation and attention deficit hyperactivity disorders to initiate calming behaviors and strategies. These students deserve an opportunity to have a safe environment to focus their attention on positive strategies needed to obtain appropriate behaviors for the educational setting. This will enable the students to improve their chances of becoming academically successful. The lessons are designed to promote student engagement and develop critical thinking in the minds of the scholars. There is a balanced approach of teaching social emotional skills and academic readiness competencies. Data-driven results will allow us to evaluate improvement in social behaviors and growth in academic learning.
