"From guts to glory" is a motto I think demonstrates the progression of my students through a year of science. I am an 8th grade science teacher. I have over 100 students a day. We live in an impoverished area on an Indian Reservation. We are a public school district with a very limited budget. Our student demographics is majority Hispanic with a blend of Native American, Filipino, Black, Caucasian and many culturally mixed children. Our main family income is public assistance with agricultural work as a second. Monetarily we are very needy, culturally we are very wealthy.
