These multicultural, multi-linguistic students need the best possible resource, such as comprehensive dictionaries with photographic illustrations, to expand their vocabulary and spelling as they expand their literacy. The schools that I teach have a shortage of such materials. These books will be extremely valuable to my students as the years come and go, I will use them year after year and share them with other classes too. No matter what subject a student is studying (English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies or Science) they need to see real life illustrations to expand their knowledge base. A comprehensive dictionary with expanded vocabulary and quality photographic images will help countless students to academic success.
