My students need two Chromebooks to stimulate their interest and increase their proficiency in mathematics. Students will strengthen their problem-solving skills by experiencing real-life examples. Technology can help students understand the concepts in many different ways. In addition, access to learning sites, such as Khan Academy, will strengthen their skills and provide personalized learning as students work at their own pace. But most importantly, student success at the learning sites will improve confidence. In order to teach 21st-century skills, we must provide our students with 21st-century materials. Academic success is critical in helping students develop into confident, successful young adults. It is my hope that with more excitement, success, and confidence in math class, my students will choose to explore careers in STEM.
