If my project is funded I will have some of the supplies and material needed to expand my students' learning. We will have supplies in the classroom for the students to use, so their parents or guardians will not have to worry about purchasing them on their own. In first grade we learn about how to work in a community and different types of weather. The Citizenship Book Series will be a great resource for the students to use. They will be able to get into small groups to work with one another with the extra stools and the Science Readers about weather. With these supplies I will be able to reach multiple levels of student learning and will be able to keep my students actively engaged. The colored pencils and markers will allow the students to express themselves with their art, projects, and other assignments. My classroom will have a more inviting atmosphere to help my students feel safe and open to new experiences. I know my students will be forever grateful and that their time in my classroom will be a wonderful memory that stays with them for a lifetime. With the laminator I will be able to keep their work samples safe, so they can look back on how much they have grown through the year. These students deserve the chance to show their potential and understand how special they are.
