I'm a School Social Worker in an Elementary School that serves students who are 3-Years-Old to 3rd Grade. I work to remove barriers to learning and support students, staff and families. Most of my day is spent with the students, helping them learn social skills, how to behave in school and in the community, and how to solve problems in appropriate manners. I also provide resources to meet basic needs for students living in poverty. I also seek out resources for different types of supplies for my students since my school lacks funds to purchase supplies and the families cannot afford to send students with supplies.
