The materials from this project will help teach students how to have a growth mindset. With a growth mindset, it is believed that your intelligence can be changed with hard work and persistence. Challenges help us grow! Reading aloud helps children of all ages to make sense of the world. These read-aloud books will help students learn about what a growth mindset is and how they can change their thinking to grow their brain. We use morning meeting each day to discuss and learn about growth mindset and these books and posters will be a great asset to that learning. The Most Magnificent This by Ashley Spires is about a girl that has an idea and knows it will be the most magnificent thing. After trying and failing many times she feels frustrated but never gives up. Salt in His Shoes and Rosie Revere Engineer are two books about real people who persisted through challenges with a growth mindset.
