My students love the opportunity to explore their learning or get extra practice individually or with a partner. Using Daily 5 during my literacy block and Guided Math Workshop allows me to meet all students' individual needs in small group teaching, while the rest of the students enjoy the freedom to choose how they'd like to practice what we are learning about. Each child has their own favorite and they all love it when new things are introduced. Rarely do I hear the tired refrain, "I'm done, now what do I do?" My students always have something they are ready to dig into and stick with for as long as I let them!
