Our goal is to eventually outfit our entire classroom with Chromebooks. This project is focused on the first three Chromebooks to start our process. Currently, there is a severe limitation of technology available in our classroom. We have extremely outdated desktop computers that are limited in their ability to access learning sites such as, XtraMath and Front Row Math. With thirty students excited to learn and eager to use technology, our limitations are creating an unfair environment when compared to students in other schools. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Giving our students access to Chromebooks in our classroom will give them the same opportunities as students with higher socio-economic status. Using them to this extent in the classroom, excites their learning and increases student interaction and intrinsic motivation. Students will dive further into science, social studies, reading, writing, and math because of what will be made available to them.
