This is my first year teaching 4th grade so I am looking for literature that will excite my students about reading. Harry Potter will get their imagination working and get kids excited about reading. Harry Potter is engaging, fun and will capture the attention of my fun fourth graders. It will also help create classroom community. I will use the banners to put the students into four groups, "houses", so they can work together to get points and prizes. We are doing a lot of non fiction reading and writing in our classroom this year, but I also want them to use their imagination and have fun too!
