Coming back to school during a pandemic presents many challenges for my students. One of the biggest challenges is carrying many items to special area classes throughout the day. In the past, students have shared common materials during library lessons. Health and safety concerns have eliminated sharing those items. Students carry library books, pencil boxes, headphones and chromebooks to different areas and classrooms throughout the school every day. It's common to have items dropped multiple times before students get where they are going. Giving students individual tote bags will end the stress and wear and tear on student items. Students can easily put everything in one place as they move throughout the day. This would be such a gift of convenience to all of my students, kindergarten through fifth grade.
