My students in media are mostly junior and senior students who are extremely creative. Their imaginations are on display when we sit and think of ideas for our next video or commercial to show to the school. It is a joy to watch them light up when they see the video that they made playing in the cafeteria for 400 students to watch. The students' imaginations are often bigger than the equipment we have, and I feel bad telling them that we cannot get certain shots or footage because our equipment is not up to par. The students love using the editing equipment that the school provides, but they do not like the old cameras. I want to be able to let their creative juices flow and have equipment that can keep up.
