My classroom consists of 32 energetic, bright, gritty 6th graders who want to succeed. Unfortunately, many of them have daily struggles at home and in school that hinder their ability to learn. I have students who are homeless, have parents who are incarcerated, are raising their siblings while their parents work, and already battle mental health issues. Sometimes, the weight of it all creates chaos in their brains and hearts. I strive on a daily basis to foster a safe, healthy learning environment where these kids can find the peace they need to develop healthy friendships and reach their full potential academically. They are really just big kids and mini adults who need to be loved and understood. My job is truly amazing! Please support my students and help them in this journey of life.
