My students all have individual desks in the classroom which is useful while I am teaching a specific lesson, however, I would love for them to be able to sit around the room during their independent work time in a comfortable seat, in a place of their choice. I'm requesting three bean bag chairs and three comfy floor seats as well as lap desks, all of which can move around the room with the students, so they can choose where and what they want to sit in. I have found that most students are more productive, imaginative, less disruptive, and better behaved if they are allowed to have some choices in their learning. I want to provide them the option of some flexible seating options around the room and watch them soar.
