Hello all! Welcome to my Donors Choose teacher page! I am a 2nd year fifth grade teacher in Chicago, Illinois and eager to provide the best quality education and opportunities to all my little learners. I believe in building a foundation for fun filled learning experiences where children can learn, explore, create, have fun and much more! Although they are learners today, they are our leaders tomorrow! A little about me: I received my Bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University in Elementary Education and minors in Social Studies and Language Arts. I am a certified K-5 teacher in Michigan and Illinois. I student taught in 1st grade, aided in a kindergarten classroom and special education middle school classroom. My next journey brought me to fifth grade and now I couldn't find myself anywhere else! Upper elementary has been a fantastic place for me, and I'm thrilled to be teaching it again this year!
