As students arrive in my class each year, they are looking for a 21st century learning environment. I have a space in the back of my room where groups of students can retreat during projects to collaborate and problem solve. Having that space available to my students has really allowed them to expand on their creativity and develop meaningful conversations among one another. My students desperately need another flexible seating option in that maker space in the back of my room. We currently have a bean bag chair, a rug and a stool but that leaves one student usually sitting on the floor. A new chair with an arm tablet would be a great addition to that space.
