Students love finding a special spot in the classroom to curl up with a book during class independent reading time. In previous years, going to our school library was a weekly favorite because students got access to a seemingly endless supply of books! But because of the restrictions and limiting the movement of staff and students around the school, my class does not have access to our school library anymore. Please help me build up my classroom library with these amazing books for my students to love and enjoy! Reading is an important skill that lifelong learners need in order to succeed. Having engaging, high-quality books creates excitement about reading and learning that will stay with students forever. I want to foster that enthusiasm and provide an opportunity for students to read books about characters that look like them and that they can relate to. I have thoughtfully chosen these books based on favorite books from the school library and based on the diverse characters and stories they tell.
