COVID-19 has effected students in a variety of ways, but their language skills have been effected the most. Students are needing more practice with reading, building, manipulating, and creating words using phonetic spelling in order to achieve the skills required to advance their reading. Confidence is key to learning and acquiring language skills, a Green Screen gives students a chance to use their communication skills in a creative way. Unfortunately, because of COVID-19, my students have had limited experience being in social settings to develop and utilize effective communication skills.

About my class
