Our journalism program (including our introduction classes and our newspaper production class) currently have two cameras which we purchased in 2005. As you might imagine, those cameras are at the point where they are outdated and difficult to care for without significant expense. Unfortunately, our school district has cut our journalism budget by more than 50% over the last five years, leaving us to fill in the financial windfall with our own advertising. This has meant that we use our advertising money to stay afloat, not to purchase much needed technology pieces and supplies. Your support would allow us to teach and supply our students with cameras that are up to date, user friendly and sustainable within our means.
