Many of my students come from a bilingual home, low income background. They come into school lacking the academic language and experience required to meet the ever increasing language demands of the modern classroom. The gap between what they should know and what they do know will continue to grow if steps are not taken to assist them with academic knowledge, skills and experiences. Even with the struggles they face in school, these students have a great desire to please and fit in with the class.

About my class
