Lego My Learning will be designed to work with small groups of students from K through fifth grade. Through the use of Legos, I will foster the love of learning with meaningful hands-on opportunities. Students will learn to investigate problems and find possible solutions, build collaboration and communication skills as they share their learning processes with their peers, and most importantly take responsibility for their own learning. They will learn to see failure as a form of information gathering and to develop an understanding of how parts work together to create a whole. Elementary students love hands-on learning and the chance to explore through creativity using the Lego Stem kits. Lego My Learning will emphasize and recognize students' early interests and experiences, will build on what they know, and provide opportunities to grow. Activities will engage students in the practices of science and mathematics to keep their interests piqued. Students will be able to pose questions about the world and their everyday life, just like scientists and mathematicians do. Students will develop more necessary critical thinking skills needed while interacting in the Lego activities.
