I teach Special Education resource reading. This is a classroom for students who have the potential to move into the general education class, but require a little extra support and specialized instruction to help them move into a mainstream reading classroom. My students have very individualized needs and, due to lower reading levels, they often become discouraged. I need to find ways to bring the work to life so their confidence can grow and they can see how brilliant they truly are. Once my students realize their own capacity to learn their progress becomes limitless. My classroom is designed to build a foundation so they may be able to succeed at the same level of theirs peers, my job is to level that playing field for them. There is only one classroom like this at our school, we are one of a kind and I appreciate your support!
