These materials will be used extensively throughout the day! The floor table and chairs will provide my students a creative and comfortable work space during small group instruction on the rug. Small group and one to one instruction is essential in student achievement. Providing comfortable work space will help students focus during reteaching or extension opportunities. During this time, I am able to check in with individuals who may be struggling to understand a concept or provide advancements to ensure my students are being academically challenged. These materials will also help students lead and take initiative within the classroom. The table and chairs will also be used during peer to peer conferences in which students can meet and provide one another with feedback. It will also provide a separate space for peer to peer tutoring as well! The table and chairs can also be used during collaborative work groups. The table will give students a clean work space which will help students gather around to listen and engage in student discourse. The materials can also provide select students with independent and flexible seating during quiet work time.
