I am requesting ergonomic stools. In our classroom I have developed a flexible seating classroom that allows the children movement, collaboration and a variety of work spaces. This helps the students stay focused, have choice in the work environment that works best for them to be the most productive. Due to new CDC guidelines many of these options will not be available for students. I need to shift my thinking on student collaboration and offer them new creative seat choices that can help them focus and move but yet stay in a contained space. Also the new seating will allow for easy cleaning each time a different student chooses to use it. These flexible seating options have allowed students to be highly productive and successful learners in my classroom.
