Our students' lives have been drastically altered in the wake of COVID-19. These chapter books were chosen in part because they feature age-similar characters displaced by uninvited crises. It is my hope that these books will provide experiences for students to better understand their emotions. Research supports the idea that children who understand their emotions are more likely to act kindly toward others. Students will be members of our virtual book study. The study will enhance their skills involved with English Language Arts, Social Studies, as well as Mental and Physical Health.
