It has been proven that students regress academically during the break of the summer months. It is my goal to continue working with my English Language Learning students to prevent this "summer slide" Now, more than ever, my students do not have access to the basic materials for literacy learning. My students are ready and excited to build upon their prior knowledge and continue learning this summer, to best prepare them for the upcoming school year. By using the materials inside the Lakeshore At-Home Learning kits, these must-have tools will help each individual child boost key literacy skills and foster ownership of their own learning.
