My 6th grade students are a wonderful and creative bunch of kids, but many of them come from economically disadvantaged homes. They lack the supplies they need to be successful each day and it hinders some of their learning. Our school is amazing, but it is part of a very small district and there is no budget for teacher's supplies in the classroom. This requires me to buy most of the needed supplies out of my own pocket. Since I am a wife and mother myself, I do not have an unlimited income to buy these needed classroom supplies. In addition to needed basic supplies, I also need more interesting novels for my classroom library. While I do have some books, I do not have the novels my students often ask for. I used their requests when I created the list of books I would love to have for my library. I hope you will consider donating.
