In my science class, we conduct lots of research that range from science fair projects to researching famous scientists for a yearly live wax museum. We are a Title I school with 788 students in grades 6-12, so needless to say it can be a challenge to check out laptops when needed for instruction. In addition to learning the science curriculum, reading and writing skills are also integrated in class. This gives me an opportunity to collaborate with other classroom teachers, especially English and Math. Having a set of tablets housed in our classroom allows my students unlimited access to research skills.
