This project will allow me to provide my students with new and interesting activities to practice both sight words and CVC reading. New standards and curriculum have increased the demands on our young students and we are in need of a variety of ways to reach them. All students do not learn the same way. The more ways I have to approach the students, the more successful they will be. Students will be able to use the cards and easel as well as the word work activities as independent and supported centers. This way they can practice reading several times a day without repeating the same activity. Learning to read is key in today's educational environment. Common core requires a strong literacy base from the very start, that means kindergarten! Please help to reach my students and strengthen both their reading skills and their confidence!
